Preview a server map
- Open the Play tab.
- Use the server-type tabs, filters, sorting, and queue sizes to narrow the list.
- Choose a server with Rust+ support.
- Preview its map before joining.
- Review the biomes and consider possible base locations before committing to the queue.
Facepunch says the server-map preview works for servers with Rust+ support and is designed to help players examine biomes, plan base locations, and make plans before entering a queue.

Rust+ companion map
Rust+ is Rust’s official companion app. Players can pair the app with Rust servers, and its hub provides information such as player counts, current game time, and online teammates.
The companion map can display the full server map, points of interest, teammate locations, vending machines, and ongoing events such as the attack helicopter and cargo ship.
